얼마 전에 Cloud Computing이 뭔가를 알려드렸다. 오늘은 The Internet of Things, 줄여서 IoT 가 뭔지를 아시는 것이 좋을 것 같아서리.

지금 수많은 컴퓨타, 그것이 Desk Top이든지, Laptop이든지, Smartphones이든지, Tablets이든지 인터넽로 연결되어 있오. 이것을 이용하여 가전제품 예를 들어 Toast machines, Thermometer, 집안의 전기불, Security 장치, alarm clocks, speaker systems, vending machines, 전기사용 용량기, 천연개스 측정기, 자동차 발동, 등등... 인터넽로 원격 조종할 수 있는 시대가 지금 오고 있오이다.

그런 것을 푸로그램하는 사업을 지금 미국의 대기업들, 예를 들어서 General Electric(GE)가 Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO), Hewlett Packard (NYSE:HPE)와 합작으로 개발하려고 서두르고 있읍니다. 물론 다른 기업에서도 참가하고 있는 바라 미리 알아두는 것이 나쁘지 않을 줄 압니다.

The Future of IoT

As far as the reach of the Internet of Things, there are more than 12 billion devices that can currently connect to the Internet, and researchers at IDC estimate that by 2020 there will be 26 times more connected things than people.

According to Gartner, consumer applications will drive the number of connected things, while enterprise will account for most of the revenue.
