Field Service Technician

Position Available In: Compton, CA / Lyndhurst, NJ

Job Description:

Fast growing commercial refrigerator manufacturer located in CA with branches in TX, NJ and FL looking for a full time field service technician to perform on-site diagnosis and repair of Everest refrigerators and freezers. Training will be provided. The position is available in our office in Compton, CA / Lyndhurst, NJ

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Field service and repair of Everest refrigerators and freezers.
• Safe and efficient driving to and from job sites (restaurants, hotels, etc.)
• Knowledge of product, parts, tools and supplies
• Stock and maintain inventory of service van parts, tools and supplies.
• Report to Field Service Manager from job site upon arrival / departure, post-diagnosis, pre-repair and key events during service.
• Communicate clearly and regularly with Service Coordinators and Supervisors.
• Fill out field service report, invoices, mileage report, etc.
• Be detailed and thorough in all aspects of diagnosis, repair, documentation and communication.
• Keep asking questions and learn from Field Service Manager to improve knowledge.

Technical/Mechanical requirements include but are not limited to:

• Truthful knowledge and genuine interest in electrical, refrigeration, physics, thermodynamics, troubleshooting, brazing, basic pipe fitting.
• Confidence with a variety of tools
• Confidence in using cell phones/gps

Driving requirements:

• Good DMV record

Driver's license

• Confidence in driving a cargo van

Experience:

Experience level varies and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. What's important is the willingness to learn. Training will be provided to the right individual.
