KICPC, Started family relationship certificate issuance service

On June 3, KICPC, which runs the “BM Korea” platform for issuing a civil document, starts issuing an English family relationship certificate.

The Supreme Court of Korea began issuing English family relations certificates from the 27th of last month. In cooperation with the Foreign Ministry, passport information was used to issue certificates. The English name on the family certificate is the same as the passport. Family relationship certificates are used for overseas immigration, employment, travel and entry screening for minors. Until now, in order to submit this document overseas, it had to be translated into English and notarized.

It is very different from Korean version of family certificate, so you should be careful. If you apply for the documents based on the subject of issue, only parents and spouses can check. Children are not included. If you want your child to be appear, you need to issue documents for each.
