INTELLECT HORIZON 2023

INTELLECT HORIZON 2023 took place as an international event centered at the Asia Business School (ABS) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on October 28, 2023. It aimed to redefine the way we understand and engage with the 4th Industrial Revolution technologies, including Extended Reality (XR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Web3. Renowned speakers from various fields, including MIT, Oxford, Cornell, Regent University, University of Waterloo, National University of Singapore, Dragonscale AI, and XBOX, joined the event to present diverse insights and creative ideas, fostering innovative knowledge exchange. The event has received high praise for its pioneering approach in making this knowledge accessible to people worldwide.

INTELLECT HORIZON 2023 was a 24-hour continuous free digital event that transcended geographical boundaries to advocate for universal accessibility to education, where technology formed the core of the discussion. The event vigorously discussed the concepts of sustainability, diversity, and lifelong learning from an international and comprehensive perspective.

In the Web3 Security Workshop, topics included strategies for safeguarding digital assets and products in the realm of Web3 cybersecurity, ensuring the safety of participants and consumers in the crypto world, understanding the intricacies of building secure Web3 products and emphasizing the significance of code security for both owners and developers.

During the Fireside Chat, discussions revolved around the future of Web3 security protocols, the potential of AI-driven tools, advanced cryptographic techniques, and the evolving landscape of smart contract platforms. 

In the AI/ML in cybersecurity segment, topics included AI-powered threat intelligence, behavioral analytics, deep fake detection, digital identity verification, and the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) in the realm of cyber threat intelligence, offering a cross-disciplinary approach to technology and security.

A standout event showcasing the technical prowess of AI, Web3, and XR was the Digital-Physical Hackathon, known as CYBER CLASH. Here, AI bots, led by field commanders and hackmasters, explored intricate battle arenas in real-time broadcasts to a global audience.

For context, the author led 18 students divided into four teams to participate in the CYBER CLASH event as a guiding professor. They assembled AI robot cars, designed their road environments, and successfully completed, with real-time broadcasts sent from the conference headquarters. While there were challenges and trial-and-error moments, the event concluded successfully, offering new possibilities and instilling confidence in the future.

This conference was the brainchild of Dr. Brandon Donnelly, an innovative entrepreneur who graduated from Regent University in the United States. He conceived the conference idea and, within a remarkably short three-month period, orchestrated the event from start to finish, demonstrating his exceptional dedication and passion.

The event aimed to provide a novel and innovative approach to fostering meaningful networking and partnerships among trailblazers in the IT industry, forward-thinking startups, and investment leaders worldwide. It allowed participants to witness the power of collective intelligence firsthand.

One remarkable aspect of the event is that all materials related to it will be accessible to people worldwide free of charge, aligning with the event's mission to explore and promote international equity in educational opportunities in the age of the internet. At least ten universities have expressed their interest in participating in next year's CYBER CLASH event. Many have shown a willingness to invest capital actively in various innovative technologies or to establish new companies based on innovative technology.

With the emergence of such innovative digital conferences that encompass both industry and academia on a global scale, we can hope for a more positive and promising future, even if change occurs gradually.
