Wherever you stay long as a foreigner, it is often required for you to submit various documents. Also if you have the experience of a long stay in foreign country you there can be some occasions to submit some documents regarding to it! The very most essential document is ‘criminal records check’ for identification! 

So as Indonesia! If you are to stay in Indonesia or if you come back or are to live somewhere else Indonesia you need to prepare criminal records check. For the latter one of criminal records check is called ‘Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian(SKCK)’. Today i am going to introduce how to issue SKCK and get certification on it!  

Let’s see how! 

STEP 1. How to issue SKCK?
 If you are in Indonesia, you can simply issue it from the police nearby!
 If you are outside of Indonesia, since Indonesian doesn’t offer online service unlike others there is no other way than to use agency.
 
 STEP 2. How to get the certification?
 Since Indonesia is not a member of Hague convention, you cannot certify the document in the way of apostille. This means you cannot but to detour to prove the authenticity of SKCK. You should translate it, get it notarized and embassy certified! 

Notice! This procedure is only processed in the country from which the document is originally issued! If you are outside of Indonesia, again you have to take it over to the agency. If you are in Indonesia, you can do it on yourself but this procedure is very tough. Translating, notarizing and getting embassy certification is very complicated for one person to handle! For the matter of certification i recommend you get it done through agency!
 
 STEP 3. Which agency?
