31. 대한 사람은 대한 사람의 말을 믿고, 대한 사람의 글을 믿는 날에야 대한 사람은 대한 사람의 얼굴을 반가와하고 대한 사람은 대한 사람으로 더불어 합동하기를 즐거워할 것이다.
 

32. 우리가 하려고 하는 위대하고 신성한 사업의 성공을 허(虛)와 위(僞)의 기초 위에 세우려고 하지 말고, 진(眞)과 정(正)의 기초 위에 세우려고 하자.
 

33. 어떤 신이 무심중에 와서 홀출, 내게 묻기를, 너는 무엇을 하느냐 할 때에, 나는 아무 것을 하노라고 서슴치 않고 대답할 수 있게 하라.
 

34. 낙망은 청년의 죽음이요, 청년이 죽으면 민족이 죽는다.
 

35. 사회에 정의(情誼)가 있으면 화기가 있고, 화기가 있으면 흥미가 있고, 흥미가 있으면 활동과 용기가 있다.

36. 우리는 각각 자기 허물만 스스로 고칠 뿐이요, 결코 남의 일에나 허물에 개의치 말 것이다.
 

37. 모진 돌이나 둥근 돌이나 다 쓰이는 장처가 있는 법이니, 다른 사람의 성격이 나와 같지 않다 하여 나무랄 것이 아니다.

38. 참배 나무에는 참배가 열리고 돌배 나무에는 돌배가 열리는 것처럼 독립할 자격이 있는 민족에게는 독립국의 열매가 있고, 노예될 만한 자격이 있는 민족에게는 망국의 열매가 있다. 

 39. 세상이야 비웃든지 칭찬하든지, 돕든지 해하든지, 고와하든지 미워하든지, 믿든지 의심하든지 다 불고하고, 이것이 우리 민족을 건지는 데 합당한 길이라고 깨달으면 그것을 붙들고 끝까지 나가야 한다.

40. 얼렁얼렁이 우리나라를 망하게 했다. 우리의 최선을 다 하더라도 최선되기 어렵거늘 하물며 얼렁뚱땅으로 천년 대업을 이룰 수가 있는가.

1. 32. Let's not try to build the success of our great and sacred work on the foundations of emptiness and fakeness, but on the foundations of truth and righteousness. 

1. 33. When a certain god comes involuntarily, asks me, what do you do, let me answer without hesitation that I am doing anything? 

1. 34. Disappointment is the death of a young man, and when a young man dies, the nation dies. 

1. 35. If there is justice in society, there is warmness, if there is warmness, there is interest, and if there is interest, there is activity and courage. 

1. 36. We each only fix our own faults by ourselves, and we will never mind the faults of others. 

1. 37. Because there is a law that can be used for both rough and round stones, it is not blamed for someone else's personality different from mine. 

1. 38. Just as a real pear tree bears an authentic pear and a stone pear tree bears a stone pear, the people who are entitled to independence have the fruit of an independent country and those who are entitled to become slaves have the fruit of ruin.

1. 40. Clumsiness, it ruined our country.  Even if we do our best, it will be difficult to do our best.  How much more, can we achieve a thousand-year-old business with clumsiness?
